Course Overview

This foundational course introduces the concepts, models and strategic decisions behind e-commerce and digital business. Learners examine online customer behavior, value propositions, revenue models, platform choices, digital trust and the operational components of an online venture. Through guided activities, students evaluate market opportunities and create a practical e-commerce business concept that will be developed further across the diploma.

• Differentiate B2C, B2B, C2C, D2C, marketplace, subscription and service-based models.
• Analyze customer needs, online buying behavior and the e-commerce customer journey.

• Identify major operational, ethical, security and legal considerations in e-commerce.
