This foundational course introduces learners to the concepts, terminology and practical skills required to understand modern information technology. Students examine computer hardware, system and application software, data representation, storage, databases, the internet, cloud computing and cybersecurity. The course combines conceptual learning with guided computer-lab activities so learners can confidently use digital systems, evaluate basic technology requirements and apply safe, ethical practices.
